SHIFTING YOUR LIFE'S COURSE
Does something in your life feel "wrong"? Is there a part of your life that is going a way you don't want it to? Here are some ways that you can shift that part of your life onto a preferred course.
Sit in silence, and be aware of that part of your life. Try not to think words, just hold awareness of that situation. Are you focused on how bad, scary or unacceptable it is? Are your emotions riled up in fear, anger, blame or worry? It's cause and effect: that focus and choice of emotions results in some degree of chaos.
To replace the negative conditions, continue sitting in silence. Exhale forcefully a few times, releasing the previous way you dealt with the situation. Now begin to form a "felt sense" of how you'd like the entire situation to feel. Again, avoid words. Just feel the feelings, emotions and sense experiences that match how you PREFER the situation to be. Bathe in that experience for as long as you can. Return daily, maybe twice daily, to that positive experience. You are shifting your life's course, as you do that.
My guides have shown me that our lives are the result of the intersection of three influences:
- Your free will
- Others' free will
- Divine will
When someone else's free will and/or Divine will seem to disagree with your plan, it may be time for you to surrender and make the most of what is happening. It could be that an important, challenging lesson is at hand. In this case, bring out the Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and
Wisdom to know the difference.
